30x30 Nature Challenge and Photo Contest
Improvement is something very inspiring always, and when you watch it so personally, it really is quite affecting. Hiru, your works were always very cute, charming in their own way, but now they are awing and meaningful, while never losing their charm, your personal touch. Your background skills have developed tenthousand fold and hold such atmosphere that I can step into any painting.
I love how your style just leaped ahead each time I saw a new work, and personally, I just love the direction it’s headed. I am so proud of you and so proud to be able to be by your side as you grew.
Oh hiru, you don’t know what a huge influence you’ve had on me, over these… how many years now? I still feel so lucky that we’ve come into contact over this maze of the internet, and all the good times that we’ve shared. You’ve had a large influence on my style and my growth as well and I can only hope that I’ve reciprocated some of that to you.
The best part is, I know you’re still continuing to grow. Go wow the world!

This means so much coming from the person who inspired me to pursue art. If not for you I wouldn’t be where I am today, and I would never be going to one of the best art school in the world. You’ve inspired me so much, you’re the reason I got into painting, and had my work show in art galleries. Because of you I’ve been more comfortable breaking out of my box of digital painting too, I’ve had lots of fun painting with acrylic, gouache, woodsculpture, metal sculpture, plaster casting (seriously I,m in love with this. it’s amazingly fun, I’ll have to get you to cast a hand or something some time), ect. (You may have increased my laziness too, thanks a lot.)
You’re at a super exciting time in your life, deciding what you what to do and where you wan to go with your future. I know you think it`s a little scary, maybe a lot scary, but you’re one of the most talented people I know, artistically and academically. Just know that what ever you decide to do, I will always be there for you. =)

My term project for creative process class, we were asked to create an art piece which said something about our location. I’m new to living in a larger city and the sort of things that happen here, and this was mainly a response to that.

I started using a tablet about four years ago. I’d say I was comfortable using it within the first couple months, but I didn’t and still don’t use a stabling function so my drawing was wobbly for the 7-8 ish months.
If you’re just starting out I would suggest getting a tablet with the same pen area size as your computer screen since it makes the hand eye coordination easier. =)
Complimentary piece to go with Dreamers. Dreams, imagination and childlike curiosity have always been the biggest inspirations for my art.

You’re never too little, in body or voice, to make the world a happier place.
Something quick and little for spirit day and for myself since spirit day is always around my birthday. It’s a bit of a self portrait, and a bit in response to what happened around Amanda Todd. I’m wearing so much purple today my great-grandma said I looked like a giant plum! My other clothes are green with envy /bricked
